back from the chapel~

A couple weekends ago we had the privilege to shoot an awesome wedding in Kings Mountain, NC. Emily and Yuuki Nishiyama (say that 3 times fast) were married on what might have been the hottest day of the year. Nevertheless the wedding party was crazy fun and we had a blast scouting locations around town. By the end of the night we were having such a great time, it was almost hard to watch them leave. Special thanks go out to a great wedding planner and my amazing assistant. Congrats Emily and Yuk!

Brenda Demanczyk - These photographs are absolutely incredible! Definately my kind of photography. Of course, it makes it easier with such a beautiful bride! Congrats!

downtown with The CZ…

Earlier this week I had a chance to spend some time with my good friend Curtis Zack. Curtis is an international speaker, rapper and food connoisseur. In fact on this shoot he introduced me to true Chicago-style hot dogs at a Germantown spot called Zackies, then chocolate BACON truffles at The Cocoa Tree.

Look for CZ in the last shot. Stay tuned folks!

a wedding story in black and white…

Hey everyone thanks for checking in! We we have a winner to our first ever blog contest which we will featuring right here before long so stay tuned.  Thanks to everyone for your great ideas!

I often get requests from clients for black and white… Recently we were honored to shoot a beautiful wedding in North Carolina for Heather and Jason. Their colors were bright and the photos turned out great.  There was just something about the black and white that popped. For the blog I thought it would be cool use these to tell their story. Enjoy!

Spring is in the air and it smells like… free!

With wedding season comes bridal portraits. It’s fun working with our brides to creatively express their personal style and attitude with each session. We get some interesting requests! For inspiration, here are a few favorites from the past, including a “trash the dress” shoot in a creek~

If YOU are interested in a photo session with us (bridal or otherwise)- hit “contact” in the menu bar or drop a line to shootme@woodlabelphoto.com with your info and idea for your shoot. We promise to read each one and will be choosing a lucky person to receive a free session that will be featured in a future update here!  Be sure to include name, age, location and contact info along with your shoot idea!
